Things you would like to know: ** The ridematching search engine is not entirely completed, but it does perform searches by: > Matching Days > Matching Smoking preference > Matching Zip Codes for pickup locations only. So this means that if you have a trip from Troy to Moscow, then the search engine will only find matches for others who also depart from Troy. Obviously, this is not at all adequate. Searching based on 'overlapping paths' is currently being developed. This method will allow you to specify origin and destination zip codes that might include your trip or include someone else's trip. An example would be to search for an origin in Helmer and a destination in Pullman. Such a trip would include the trip from Troy to Moscow and could be a potential ride match. Please use the 'Feedback' form (to the left) if you would like to contribute your ideas, or any other comments that will help to make tis system useful. |
